This successful program began in 1983 to serve adults with multiple disabilities. Program participants benefit from individualized services, designed specifically to meet each person’s need and help attain their goals. Many are young adults who have graduated from special education programs. UCP Day Hab provides these young adults an opportunity for further skill enhancement. In addition, all other participants benefit from an opportunity for personal growth.
Services provided by the Day Habilitation program includes:
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Nursing supervision
- Information, referrals and social work services
- Daily living skills
- Physical therapy
- Developmental skills training
- Behavioral intervention
- Functional living skills
- Community integration activities
